Today, we proudly marked a transformative moment in the journey of Sowa Rigpa with the inauguration of the National Center for Traditional Medicine Services (NCTMS), Launching of the National Traditional Medicine Strategy and Action Plan 2025–2034, and Signing of the Grant Agreement, at the FoTM Hall, Kawajangsa.

Graced by His Excellency the Health Minister, the event brought together esteemed guests, partners, and the Traditional Medicine fraternity to celebrate Bhutan’s renewed commitment to advancing holistic, people-centered healthcare.

The Strategy and Action Plan 2025–2034 provides a visionary roadmap to strengthen service delivery, education, research, medicinal resource management, and wellness initiatives ensuring that Sowa Rigpa continues to thrive in harmony with modern healthcare. The inauguration of NCTMS marks a major institutional transformation, uniting clinical care, innovation, training, and conservation under one national center.
