The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with key stakeholders, observed World Patient Safety Day under the theme”๐—œ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐——๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ป๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐—ณ๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜†.” The Honorable Health Minister addressed participants, highlighting the critical role of diagnostics in ensuring the quality and safety of healthcare services due to its significant impact on clinical management. The Minister also emphasized the importance of the Electronic Patient Information System (ePIS) and an effective referral system in delivering safe and quality healthcare services.

The Health Service Quality Assurance Division, under the Department of Health Services, provided an update on the current status of healthcare quality and safety nationwide. Throughout the day, clinical heads presented their achievements and the challenges faced in maintaining quality and safety within their respective fields. This day-long session of presentations and discussions is aimed at identifying key challenges in delivering safe, high-quality healthcare and finding effective solutions.
