DESCRIPTION:\nBhutan joined the global celebration of World Health Day 2026
  in Sheytemi\, Merak\, Trashigang. Graced by Hon'ble Health Minister as Gu
 est of Honor\, the occasion also brought together the Hon'ble Opposition L
 eader\, National Council Member from Trashigang\, WHO Representative\, Tra
 shigang Dzongdag\, representatives from government agencies\, development 
 partners\, health professionals from across the country\, and community me
 mbers.\n\n\n\nThis year\, 73 dedicated health workers – doctors\, nurses
 \, technicians\, health assistants\, and village health workers were recog
 nized for their tireless service. These are the faces who show up in our m
 ost vulnerable moments\, who walk the extra mile to reach remote communiti
 es\, and who quietly carry the responsibility of caring for a nation.\n\n\
 n\nThe Hon’ble Lyonpo reminded us that health is not just built in hospi
 tals – it is shaped in our homes\, our schools\, our communities\, and t
 hrough the choices we make every day. The event also featured NCD screenin
 gs\, Sorig-Zhiney and Luejong demonstrations\, and cultural performances\,
  making it both informative and enriching.\n\n\n\nThe Ministry of Health e
 xtends its sincere appreciation to the Trashigang Dzongkhag Administration
 \, the WHO Bhutan Country Office\, and everyone who worked behind the scen
 es for their invaluable support in making World Health Day 2026 a success.
