SUMMARY:Received a generous donation from the people of Trongsa Dzongkhag
DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the Bhutan Health Trust Fund (BHTF)\, His Excellen
 cy Lyonpo Tandin Wangchuk\, Chairperson of BHTF\, gratefully received a ge
 nerous donation from the people of Trongsa Dzongkhag. The contribution was
  raised through the Health Walk held on April 7th\, 2025\, in celebration 
 of World Health Day under the theme “Healthy Beginnings\, Hopeful Future
 s.”\n\nThe event saw the active participation of over 150 individuals\, 
 including members of the business community\, regional office staff\, the 
 Dratshang\, teachers\, students\, and Royal Bhutan Police personnel. The w
 alk\, totaling 17.4 kilometers\, was flagged off at Yid Zhin Throm by the 
 Dzongdag\, Dzongkhag Thrizin\, and Dratshang Drungchen. Participants made 
 their way to Thubtencholing Buddhist Lobdra and back\, raising funds and p
 romoting awareness on healthy living. Contributions were also collected fr
 om travelers along the route. The day concluded with engaging health-relat
 ed programs and a lively lottery draw\, reinforcing community spirit and t
 he shared goal of a healthier Bhutan.\n\nThe Chairperson extended his hear
 tfelt appreciation to the Dzongdag\, Thrizin\, Public Health Officer\, and
  the entire Trongsa community for their solidarity\, dedication\, and gene
 rous support. Their contribution will go a long way in ensuring the uninte
 rrupted supply of essential drugs and vaccines\, thereby sustaining primar
 y health care services across the nation.
