DESCRIPTION:2 July 2026 – Mr. Jambay Dorji assumed office as the Chief Re
 gulatory and Quarantine Officer at the Regional Office of the Bhutan Food 
 and Drug Authority (BFDA)\, Paro. He was appointed through an open competi
 tive selection process in accordance with the recruitment and selection fr
 amework of the Royal Civil Service Commission.\n\nPrior to his appointment
 \, Mr. Dorji served as the Deputy Chief Regulatory and Quarantine Officer 
 in the Food Quality and Safety Division under the BFDA. He also served as 
 the Officiating Chief Laboratory Officer at the National Food Testing Labo
 ratory\, Yusipang. Mr. Dorji began his career with the BFDA in May 2005 as
  an Assistant Regulatory and Quarantine Officer. He holds a Master's degre
 e in Food Science from Wageningen University\, the Netherlands.\n\nWith ov
 er two decades of professional experience\, Mr. Dorji brings extensive exp
 ertise in food quality and safety management\, regulation of genetically m
 odified organisms\, and laboratory management. His broad technical knowled
 ge and leadership experience will be a valuable asset in strengthening the
  regulatory and biosecurity functions of the BFDA Regional Office in Paro.
 \n\nMr. Dorji's appointment marks a significant milestone in his professio
 nal career and reflects the BFDA's continued commitment to building a comp
 etent\, dedicated\, and professional workforce across entire field offices
