SUMMARY:Following the observation of World Health Day at Sheytemi yesterday
 \, the Hon’ble Health Minister inaugurated the Dialysis Unit at Trashiga
 ng Hospital.
DESCRIPTION:\nApril 8\, 2026: Following the observation of World Health Day
  at Sheytemi yesterday\, the Hon’ble Health Minister inaugurated the Dia
 lysis Unit at Trashigang Hospital.\n\n\nThis initiative marks a major step
  forward in bringing life-saving treatment closer to the people\, particul
 arly for those living with chronic kidney disease. With this new unit\, ca
 re is now available closer to home\, making it more convenient for both pa
 tients and their families.\n\n\nDespite space constraints\, the hospital w
 hile working closely with the Dzongkhag Administration converted its admin
 istrative block into a fully functional dialysis unit. The refurbishment w
 as supported by the Dzongkhag\, demonstrating strong local leadership and 
 commitment to improving health services.\n\n\nCurrently\, around 50 patien
 ts from Trashigang are undergoing dialysis\, and this facility is expected
  to benefit many more from nearby dzongkhags including Trashiyangtse\, Pem
 a Gatshel\, and Samdrup Jongkhar.\n\n\nThe event was attended by the Hon
 ’ble Opposition Leader\, National Council Member of Trashigang\, Dasho D
 zongda\, Dasho SP\, WHO Representative\, and local government officials. H
 is Excellency expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Dzongkhag Administra
 tion especially Dasho Dzongda for the unwavering support and leadership in
  making this initiative possible.\n\n
