DESCRIPTION:July 6\, 2026: The Ministry of Health is pleased to congratulat
 e Drg. Ugyen Wangchuk\, who officially assumes office as the first Special
 ist Head of the National Center for Traditional Medicine Services (NCTMS).
 \n\nBefore this appointment\, Drg. Ugyen Wangchuk served as a Specialist a
 t the National Traditional Medicine Hospital (NTMH) and as the Head of the
  Laynga Department. In 2018\, he led the establishment of Laynga (Eliminat
 ive Therapy) inpatient services at NTMH\, marking a significant milestone 
 in strengthening specialized Traditional Medicine services in Bhutan.\n\nW
 ith 28 years of dedicated service across the country's healthcare system\,
  Drg. Ugyen Wangchuk has made invaluable contributions to the advancement 
 of Sowa Rigpa and the promotion of quality Traditional Medicine services n
 ationwide. He holds a Master's Degree in Traditional Medicine and Clinical
  Therapy from the University of Health Sciences\, Ulaanbaatar\, Mongolia.\
 n\nThe Ministry of Health extends its heartfelt congratulations and best w
 ishes to Drg. Ugyen Wangchuk as he takes on this historic leadership role.
  We wish him every success in leading NCTMS and further advancing Traditio
 nal Medicine services for the people of Bhutan.
